BASiC Semiconductor Lists on HKEX, Embarking on a New Chapter of Globalization
On July 8, 2026 (Beijing Time), BASiC Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “BASiC Semiconductor”, Stock Code: 9971.HK) was listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, officially embarking on a new journey in the international capital markets and underscoring a breakthrough advancement in China's wide-bandgap semiconductor industry.
Founded in 2016 by a team of PhDs from Tsinghua University and the University of Cambridge, BASiC Semiconductor is one of the few IDM enterprises in China with full-chain independent capabilities in SiC power devices. Its products are widely used in electric vehicles, photovoltaic energy storage, industrial control, AI data centers, rail transit, and other fields. According to Frost & Sullivan, in terms of revenue in 2024, BASiC Semiconductor ranked sixth in China's SiC power module markets and third amongst Chinese companies.
At the listing ceremony, Dr. Wang Zhihan, founder and chairman of BASiC Semiconductor, stated in his listing speech: “After ten years of dedicated effort, we have achieved breakthroughs in core technologies from 0 to 1, built an independent and controllable industrial chain layout, and supported critical applications such as electric vehicles, photovoltaic energy storage, and AI data centers.
